Description

A classic take on the Fede Gimmel ring, updated with a slim shape perfect for stacking or mix and matching!

From the Italian "Mani in Fede" (meaning "hands in faith"), Fede Gimmel rings date back to antiquity and typically depict two hands, one male and one female, clasped together, sometimes around a heart. Popular throughout history and particularly in the Renaissance era as betrothal rings, they refer to the wedding ceremony practice of sealing the marriage by holding hands. Traditionally, the betrothed couple would each receive half of the ring, which would then be reunited at the wedding ceremony to confirm that each party gave their consent to proceed with the marriage. In this version, the hands are permanently clasped as an eternal symbol of love and devotion.
