Description
HISTORY
Rosecut diamonds first came to pass in 1600s India, where they were prized for their soft, gentle sparkle and beautiful facet pattern, which radiates from the center like the petals of a rose. Popularized in the Georgian and Victorian eras, rosecuts differ from modern cuts in that they are faceted by hand vs. machine - even today. With just 24 facets and a flat bottom, their charm is owed not only to their unusual shape but also to the beautiful, watery luster they possess that is all their own.
The central stone (.25 tcw) is a modern brilliant replacement, with beautiful color and clarity. With antique charm and a mix of cuts for maximum brilliance, this ring would make a fantastic alternative engagement or "just-because" ring.
