An unusual Mid-Century tie tack from legendary jeweler Tiffany & Co. is given an updated, modern twist as a necklace that hugs the collarbone.
Once a purveyor to the Russian Imperial family, Tiffany & Co. has been known as one of the world's premier jeweler since it began in 1837. The 1950s, just before this tie tack was likely made, saw the addition of the likes of Elsa Schiaparelli and Jean Schlumberger, who influenced design motifs and helped catapult the store to stardom with its inclusion in the famed film Breakfast at Tiffany's. Mid Century jewelry saw the use of yellow gold, and playful, naturalist motifs and this piece is no exception.
Excellent - no noticeable flaws or wear.
